He brought up trying the 47, presumably as he is making an association with the 46.5 of the giant

Must be an Evans app issue but there's no obvious size guide for the BMC

Maybe call and ask if they actually have it on the shop floor. Whatever you do do not get shiny bikitis and go for the one they have in stock unless you are completely certain it's right

Pretty wide bars as standard even on the 47? The reason I don't much like stock bikes
