Depend what your insurance company states in their terms. Aviva for example will not cover bikes in a garden not securely locked in a garden but if they are in an outbuilding or in the home nothing is specified. Are you just running a chain through them all? Might be better to fit a D lock to the chain that goes also through a wheel and fork, or use also individual chains.
I rang my house insurance company and they said they were happy as long as they were in a locked building
They would not have been happy with a wooden shed - but a brick shed was fine
Of course - that is when they want the business
when you make a claim it may "change"
so I have them locked up together - and to each other - connected to a wall anchor with 2 Sold Secure d-locks and a combination chain as well
OK the combi lock is just for nuisance value but whatever
and every few months I lock them up and take a photo - and I make sure I always lock them the same so the photo is valid
When I had a "proper cycling policy" they were VERY specific about ground anchors and Sold Secure Gold and all that
which might have just been them being honest from the start
but I was worried that the extra required specific locks and stuff would mean they would be even more awkward if I needed to claim
