Hi everyone,
I’m currently in the process of designing a bike storage unit for people’s gardens. I wanted to get an idea of what sort of features people would like and find useful in a bike storage unit. Any help and suggestions are appreciated.

None of that has happened in the 2+ years I've had my steel shed, and its in direct sunlight all day. I call it the The Oven.Don’t use steel, the bikes get too hot in the summer and things like wheel decals start peeling off. Timber is better as it breathes and the gaps cause a natural airflow which reduces condensation.
A light on the inside, and shelves around the side to store things on.
Love mine. I found out too late that CyclingUK had a members discount (10%) that could have saved me over £100 but that aside its great. i did buy the extras from them like shelves, hanging hooks, locks which bumped the price up but has been worth it.

I bought an Asguard bike safe it is extremely well built and secure. I erected it in about three hours ind put 3 cycles and lawnmowers etc etc in the 7’ x 3’ 6” construction. Following year when the garage was now clear I sold it for almost the same as I bought it for.
