Bike suggestions

They are extending a once railroad now cycle track that would make a nice ride through the country. The problem is that the surface will be unspecified gravel not asphalt like the rest of it. Choices are a cyclocross set up or a 29er. I would prefer the cc but is this realistic considering the gravel surface, I am assuming loose gravel.

I dont really know, but id presume a cyclocross bike would be more than enough, given what theyre designed for in cyclocross racing through crazy terrain. If its made as a cycle track I guess you can expect it to be fine with anything except a road bike with skinny tyres.

I like the look of CX bikes myself, Specialized Tricross Disc looks nice
