We all know what a "moton" is ...

Well, I think today's cycling genius deserves the "bike-ton" award!

I've just returned from a return trip to Sainsbury's ... where some evolutionary throwback had chained his/her bike diagonally across all three spare cycle hoops!!

That's the cycling equivalent of parking your car across several parking spaces ...

One wonders if these people have the intelligence to remember their own name ...

Excellent. A while back, I saw a Brompton in town, lock up with a thickish armoured type cable lock, round the main tube. Locked to a bollard. Not only could one have lifted it off, one could have ridden it away with the lock in situ....

Perhaps the opposite to your bike-ton.

David Cameron did the same, bollard thing last year, but his was stolen . Witnesses said he kept repeating " But I locked it "

I heard afterwards that one of the mechanics had reported to a copper tha same day, seeing some chavs with a Brompton in town, and that it was recovered, so it looks like the inevitable happened...

I don't think so, but I probably mentioned it. Maybe I painted such a vivid picture with words, you imagined the photo....

Err ... I hang my head in shame  ... but I have parked my bike across more than one stand (as a form of protest), when its wheel-benders or Tesco's ones that are too close to the wall to use properly. Sorry ... I am obviously not fit to have you wipe your shoes on me :surrender:

Mostly I can't be bothered to protest and instead lock it to the trolley stands instead.

I would have locked Selfish's bike to the stand with my cable lock and thrown away the key.

Worth the cost to see the look on his /her face before riding away whistling a suitable tune ;)

I locked my bike to a signpost outside an lbs in Cardiff. On coming out I realised i didnt have the key but luckilly then also noticed there was no sign on top of the post.

It was too high for me to lift off so the bike shop owner who is quite large lifted it off for me.Before riding off I thanked him and said i wonder whos bike it is .He did look a bit worried
