Put a parking brake on the trailer. not a legal requirement, but with the extra weight!And make sure your brakes work well

The wording in 'use vehicle in a dangerous condition' says '... use a motor vehicle or trailer....'
The 'or' suggest to me that you could fall foul of this legislation even though you aren't using a motor vehicle, as you would be using a trailer. Of course that's only if the police officer could prove that your trailer was indeed dangerous! I've never come across any rickshaws in my city, so I definitely don't speak from experience
