I had a great time but the Scotrail journey to Inverness wasn't great.
The compartment allocated for 2 bikes is the size of a telephone box and isn't fir for purpose. I've attached a photo + a few other random photos.

Sadly those telephone box cupboards have been all to common on long distance trains. Signed off without so much as actually testing with real bikes or approval from anyone who actually takes bikes on trains.

beautiful, so beautiful you are allowed a selfie.
Yep that cupboard is a joke (I now avoid east coast main line because of them) Would you have been allowed to put your bike in the main bit of one of the carriages?
Well done on that wonderful looking freecamp - can be quite hard to find wooded areas with some grassy bits/sunshine - many can be too dank/flyridden.

any more pics of your freecamping spots?
Very impressed by some of those daily mileages.

Not able to put bikes anywhere except that box. It's a joke.
Yeah I found a great spot.
Thanks for the feedback 👍
