...is rather good. Saw it last night on DVD (as tickets were £50+ in Edinburgh by the time I got around to looking at buying some :-( ). Has anyone else seen it live or otherwise?

Saw him live about three years ago now and it was side splittingly good. In fact the actual show was on TV not long ago, "Part Troll" I think it was called?

I do like Bill Bailey. Most of these people who pop up on panel shows are two dimensional slebs with a couple of catchphrases and minimal ability. With Bill, there is actually more to him than first appears - a clever, talented bloke with a wide range of interests.

i think he's great. i havn't seen that particular one, but i saw him live a couple of years back, i think that was the part troll tour aswell. It was the one with the BBC news rave music. Did you see him in Black Books with Dylan Moran?

Black books was excellent. I remember the episode where he'd either gone without sleep for days or was very stoned (I can't remember which), got mistaken for a copper and conducted an extremely bizarre interrogation of a suspect. Might get the series now come to mention it!
