If you mean by asking is it worth selling you mean is it worth a lot of money I’m afraid not, maybe a hundred quid on a good day, @biggs682 will give you a better idea. Its really only rarer bikes that are worth money not mass produced ones like yours and especially in that condition ( not ready to ride) but generally looks very clean, plus the small frame size will have limited appeal. Although that Brooks saddle is worth a few bob.
As @Paulus says I’m sure someone on here could be interested and after a few more posts you advertise in our classifieds.

Might be worth a bit more, looks like a Holdsworth that has been made for the shop so not mass produced like a Raleigh say. The TA chainset is worth something on its own and looks like it wouldn't take much to get it rolling again

There is an Adrian Bird in Hendon, which is not far away. I found this on another site.------

Try asking Adrian Bird of Broadway Bikes 250 West Hendon Broadway Colindale, London, NW9 6AG - 020 8202 4671. He has had his LBS for years and might well be related.
Adrian has been there for a while, but for a long time until it closed Birds was owned by Terry Cronin who took over 13's in Watford afterwards.

Yep, think Terry originally sourced Birds frames from Wally Green in Hendon then latterly Holdsworth

Shop brand frames often have no proven builder but most came from decent workshops or local builders. The details thst collectors and riders like to see in photos are the dropouts where the axle fits, the seat cluster where the seatpost meets the frame, the bit around the bottom bracket, the fork crown and steerer tube and the lug for gear shifter. These show how one bit of metal flows into another ie how much workmanship and skill were used.
Yours looks to be a reasonable grade workshop frame but nothing fancy.

JIM BIRD

Jim’s cycle shop at 273 The Hyde was the mecca during the 1950s and 60s. But Jim was more than just a friendly and helpful cycle dealer in Colindale; he became a great benefactor to the sport and particularly to Harp members. He provided team transport to such venues as the Southend Road and the Bath Road with incentives of racing tyres for beating the hour or breakfast if the Harp won the team award.
