My commute starts at 4.30am and I have been in arm and leg warmers for the past couple of weeks on the way to work. Its still warm on the way home though.

Got caught out on this morning's commute where Garmin showed 8.9 degrees at 0745, turned out short sleeve jersey and shorts wasn't enough.
Time to dig out some warmer gear

Yesterday: short sleeves and shorts. Today: Long sleeves and trousers. Woke up up the weather forecast, and decided to make the change.
Mind you, Northerly winds today. Will warm up when they veer to the South.

Certainly cooler. Not exactly warm commuting at 9 with LS running top, gilet and 3/4 lengths

26/27 deg possible again in the SE on Sunday so summer kit will be back out!

Leaving for work at 6am for the past few days - 3/4 baggy shorts or normal baggy shorts with knee warmers & arm warmers have been required, although the arm warmers have been taken off after about 2/3rds distance and neither needed on the way home.

I'm not on the Cambridge guided busway till 7:15am the temperature was perfect then for track mitts. My knees felt perfect temperature too but that was probably because I had thin summer knee warmers on.

I call this time of year the Suicide Season. If ever I kill myself, I will wait until about the end of October to do it. Lets look at the facts:

Summer is over
Mostly cold orrible weather to look forward to
All my annual leave is gone
Adverts will start talkin christmas soon
November and december means more work for me in the form of excessive overtime. So also less "me time".
A very long time to wait before I get decent time off work again, likewise for warm decent weather.

The long nights wont bother me too much however. I work nights and so most of my cycling is done also at night. Nice quiet roads at 11pm. Unfortunately night time in winter often means ice, not good for going riding. It only felt like the other day when we had a load of snow due to the Beast from the east. It's Autumn now, **** sake:cursing:.

Walk to wall sunshine and mid to low 20s here in London for at least the next 2 weeks...hardly bad weather

Such a beatiful, sunny, lovely, non chilly morning here in the SE and as Vickster says, its looking like it will be more of the same for the next couple of weeks.
Yep, it's a shame I have to drive to work (car in for service)

A little chilly this morning. About 10c. Perfect for a walk in, but I just started cycling so the wind is colder. I suppose I'll need a jacket or something - just cycled in with my usual short sleeved shirt

I always used to say 12°C was my lower limit for cycling bare armed, and 8°C for fingerless gloves. Even then, the problem is you hit microclimates in hollows and shaded areas where it can be even cooler. But hey ho, i generally prefer the cooler weather for riding.
