Bitten in Swindon

Hello everyone,
I'm a 40 something male from Swindon who has recently made the transition from cheap mountain bike to "proper" road bike. I got a Giant Defy 4 a couple of weeks ago and am now well and truly bitten by the cycling bug. In fact I've ended up buying so many bits of kit and clothing that I now have a lightweight wallet to go with my lightweight machine, and these days whenever my wife sees me drooling over the computer I have to tell her I'm just looking at porn !
I do a 5 mile commute most days and completed my first 30 miler last weekend. I've just finished a 40 miler today so I must be doing something right !

gets expensive doesn't it! i was looking at some gorgeous winter kit earlier today - last years stuff is perfectly alright but i was sorely tempted...would've been a little over £200 and the wife would not have understood my reasoning
