Just as well I didn't mention the full-fry for brekkie and the stir-fry at home otherwise you might have thought me a glutton...

I can't abide the "food" from BK, McDonalds et al. I love a tasty burger too, so I make them myself. 100% steak mince, medium rare, in a home-made bap. Lovely.

I used to quite like McD, BK etc, but I just kind of went off them. Partly on account of belatedly putting two and two together and thinking, 'ah, heartburn again.... wonder if it could be anything to do with that crap I ate half an hour ago'....

Love fish & chips. Will happily settle for saveloy & chips when funds are tight. The guilty secret I really enjoy tho' - but only when I'm good 'n pissed - is a doner 'with everything'. ('Chilli sauce?') (Dame Edna: 'I've never liked the idea of those doner kebabs...you don't know who the donor was, do you?')

I spend a lot of time in Germany and have a liking for Currywurst and chips. Yum.

God that brings back memories, I loved 'currywurst mit pomme frites'

Saw a recipe for kebabs on Economy Gastronomy the other day, looked nice. The unbearably posh students managed to cook it so must be quite easy.

Fish and chips are nice though, especially when the chips are cooked in orange batter and beef dripping like they do around here.

We're having home made burgers tonight...mmmmm. If you use fish sauce or soy sauce instead of salt they hold together better and don't dry out when they're cooking.

I'm partial to the odd BK whopper but I eat them about once a year, normally if I've just done a load of exercise...!

While I would agree with you, this is not always an option when you're starving, have five minutes to eat, and are hundreds of miles from home

Burger King burgers aren't ideal, but they are a damn sight better than the McDonalds alternative - especially the aberdeen angus ones.

As I said, the chips (I can't bring myself to use the "f" word) are inedible in both places.

There's always another choice. If you're in a town, a nice cafe, or if you're on the road, lots of service stations have an M&S simply food. I keep a book called "Breaks near the motorway" in my car glovebox.

I must admit though, I haven't eaten in a BK or McD for many years, they may have changed.

Now a good burger i had, was when i was at my GFs. It was an Aberdeen Angus one, in a very nice cob, with home made chips.

Does anyone else think that Burger King chips are nice?
They have a different taste to Mc D's chips, both are very nice, and I don't have a preference for either, ill eat any of them, but the Burger King ones just seem to bring me back.
I have got a love for KFC at the moment, the Boneless Banquet to be specific

On the rare occasion I have one their chips give me the shoots. Just thought I'd share that with you
