Hello Guys
Today around 6pm at the north hanover st/bath st junction I was cautioned for damage to a black cab.
Basically i was sitting at the lights on north hanover street waiting to turn right into bath street and over the single laned bridge (the one with vehicle restrictions in place) so the light turns green and off i go suddenly a cab speeds up from behind and cuts me up (this a is a single laned road) this results in the rear of his taxi swinging round and clipping my bike and sending me into the barriers. His reasoning later was because i was moving to slowly away from the green light so he thought he could squeeze by?. He then had the cheek to toot his horn at me. On the way into the barriers I somehow managed to get a retaliatory kick at his taxi
The black cab driver gets out and we square up (in a very manly way might I add) he proceeds to threaten me blah blah blah blah while I just stand in his face and smile. He pushed me and I didn't retaliate as i saw all these people watching. This went on for 30 minutes and in front of witnesses he threatens to run me over, break both my legs, put me in a wheel chair, break into my house amongst other things. While he is saying all this I had realised all these people watching are witnesses so I just keep quiet and laugh, yawn etc.
To cut a loooooooooong story short; the police turn up and the cab driver tells them I made a dent in his rear wing. The dent had dust on it and was clearly an old dent (as the police pointed out). Anyway, He was taken away in the police car based on the witnesses statements. I have two witnesses both backing up my story and he has none. So it looks like a trip to the sheriff court for him, as for me the police said a report will go to the procurator fiscal and it will be up them if they want to pursue it i'm hoping they wont be in touch.
