Black Ice

[Riding in Circles]

Saw my first bit of ice this morning, little bit sideways on the way to the coffee shop, I love ice, no really.

I had my first fall of the winter on Thursday. I was stopping to go through a gate on a shared use path besides a river. I had felt the rear wheel slipping when I had just gone up a small hill but thought it was just the rear wheel. So when stopping, I thought it would be good idea to brake harder with the front wheel.
The bike went down and I was left standing above it confused as to how I didnt fall off. I then picked up my bike and went on very cautiously.

Black ice is a real danger because it can appear that it is a puddle when actaully it is frozen.
