shouldn't be hard - jam jar and plastic pipe - quicker to DIY than take it to the shop I'd have thought.

PS only done cars

Cheers for the feedback people, is it possible to diy bleed them then without a kit?

I refer the honourable gentleman to my earlier post: the "kit" is a jam jar and a plastic pipe. A "special" plastic pipe with a valve in is marginally better, but not overwhelmingly so. Obviously need a spanner to slacken the nipple too. Don't snap the nipple off if you can help it - though this is down to luck as if it's stuck you can't really help it.

Never.done a pushbike so above is cars./ motorbikes - but I assume they are the same.

Yes.

If it's the same as a car/motorcycle then there will be a bleed nipple on the caliper. Fill the reservoir.
Open nipple, squeeze lever, close nipple, release lever. Repeat (While making sure the reservoir stays full)

Check lever pressure every so often. 10 minute job.

Or better, stick a clear plastic pipe onto the nipple first , dipping under the surface.of a jam jar with some break fluid in it. More reliable, and maybe easier, for stopping air getting getting in and saves the opening and closing the nipple.thing - though that should work is more tricky (have done it too) to not get aid bleeding back in.

Could even buy a £2 syringe from ebay, and push the fluid through from the bottom. Don't even need to pump the lever then either

£2 ! are you made of money. Joking aside - not sure I quite follow how that method works. Sucking air out seems questionable
Oops, meant to put push, not draw

You fill the syringe with fluid, and push it in slowly from the bottom, forcing the air out of the top of the system.

umm, where is "the top" where the air is supposed to come out? It won't past the seals of the master cylinder surely ?
