Just got caught coming back from Sainsburys in a short Blizzard (it lasted, from 2 minutes after getting on the bike, until 2 minutes after I got home ).

I only had my cycling shorts on (longs in wash), so my legs were redder than a rear light

Could barely see, as the snow/hail drops were getting in my eyes, but I just laughed the whole way home. I actually quite enjoyed it....

Now it's lovely and sunny out.

I saw the beginning of the same blizzard, so I went inside and made a cuppa.

Commuted in to London from Norwich today - first use of my helmet-cam too. Bit snowy to start with (wheel-spin pulling away) but not bad.

There's no snow in London - yet - but just about to head off back on the train. What are Norwich roads like at the mo? Icy?

Well, apparently they're pretty bad. Was meant to be having some friends over for dinner. One lives a bit away so was going to drive, but the roads were too bad to drive so we're going to do dinner tomorrow/friday instead.

I'd imagine they're pretty uncycleable then, but I don't know for sure.

Certainly she said her boyfriend found the car slipped a bit on either Earlham Rd/Unthank Rd (not sure what way he went home from town).

The hills in NR3; St Clements, Constitution, Sprowston Road and the vacinity are very bad. They are all covered in sheet ice with many knocks and bangs occuring at the junctions; especially around Knowseley Road, Spencer Street, Silver Road, etc.

I've just had a couple of pints in the Cider Shed, and could barely walk back up the hill home again

Not too far - just off Unthank Road, near the shops. I might try cycling the main roads if they're not too bad - and push it the rest.

Ah, you must live down the road from me . I live off Christchurch street (off unthank where the traffic lights are before the ring road)...If you see a guy on a black specialised allez, with a little helmet camera on the top...either a yellow or blue jacket give us a shout

that's only a 40ish minute walk from the station I guess.

Always try and get a bus? If Clive on the 25 comes along he'll probably let you on with the bike

Put the camera on...just so if you do fall off (and don't hurt yourself) we can have a chuckle

Best of luck!!

It is indeed super icy around Norwich. Take it from the person that skidded his car into the back of someone. While on the way to sell it

(still sold, but with minor damage discount)

Sorry to hear about the car - ouch - but me and the Kona are fine...

Cup of tea in hand...

The main roads were fine but walked the little ones. Didn't go my usual route but tried to keep to the major routes.

The all powerful cup of tea! Doesn't look any better today though, you lot that ride in this are a lot braver than I.
