The webbing under one of the chairs has stretched and one end of one of the lengths of webbing had broken away from the end clippy part. I prised apart the arms of the clip, cut the frayed webbing back to a strong part. Should a bloke know the proper name for the "clipppy" end part?

I will be purchasing new webbing in order to make it a proper job, rather than a botched one.

But that's all fabric related so it's almost sewing and embroidery

I would post a picture to bore everyone with, but computer says no at the moment...

As Mrs Doyle would say "go on, go on, go on..........go on.

Scenario: newly painted - by me :girl:hall, that has two ceiling light fittings needing shades.
First newly bought one fits ok, the second one doesn't, top opening is too small.
Luckily the shades are made of some sort of pliable tin, I can bend the opening a bit, but how to get ordinary, straight pliers to fit?
With my curved plumber's pliers, of course.
Job done :becool:
