Out walking around Chinley/Lantern Pike today. Thousands of the little b****rds everywhere. Up nose, in ears...and don't even try to gulp some air!

They were out in North Wales on Saturday.

Just the right conditions.

I never understand why some people ( no offence Tiger) get so wound up by them.
24 hours...they're gone.
My wife insists on getting a kettle of boiling water and trying to kill as many as she can when they show in the garden. I always say...'leave the bloody things alone, they'll be gone in a few hours and you'll never kill them all anyway....and why do you even want to kill them anyway '

Sitting in my garden yesterday, daughter was visiting, she said 'flying ants, they're doing my head in '

Turned out she'd been pouring boiling water over them too .

Don't want to KILL them at all

Eating them is classed as killing them so I don't want to do that either. Nor watch them drown in my pint!

No no, i didnt think you did....sorry, i was talking about (some) people in general. TBF, i wouldnt be happy swallowing a load of em.
