Bloody tiling

We asked the tiler to use a chrome effect edge strip to the sink tiles. Basically he's rough cut the strips not even at 45 degrees, and then filled the gaps with grout. Surely he can't think this is a good finish?
I've not raised this with the tiler yet, just the scratched tiles, which all he said was that it might pull some plaster off when removing.

Have to say that's pi55 poor.
I am a sad git and love tiling and it has to be nigh on perfect.

I would politely but firmly tell him he isn't going to get paid until he does a job that's halfway reasonabe, and don't let him try and make you compromise. That's worse that appalling. If you accept his workmanship as it is, you are going to have to look at it for years to come. That's going to be painful.

My baseline standard is "Could I have done better myself?"
It's amazing how often a supposed professional is worse at their job than I am!
Yes, and I could have, I only paid him because I was not comfortable that I could reach a high level of finish. This was his response when i mentioned the scratched tiles "I want you to be happy so if it mean re doing the mitre il re do it, the scratched tiles aren't my fault but il replace them" I just said that this isn't the point, his job is to make sure that it all looks good at the end.

The man is incompetent. He will never achieve the sort of finish that you would be happy with. Tell him to go away, without payment.
I've already paid him as the main job was to tile around the bath, that looks ok, I just think he rushed the sink. It's worse because I know him and my brother-in-law has worked with him before as he is a plumber.

He hasnt used a grout tool which would have given you lovely a clean cut finish to the grout itself...that was my biggest concern when i did mine, getting the grout clean cut...the tool made it effortless and gave a lovely finish.
The chrome strip, sorry, its awful.
