Should be just pitching up now in the caravan ready for a nice 3 day break, site rang up this morning to say pitches were basically a waterlogged bog..

I woke at 07:00 this morning.......it was hammering down. Came down solid till maybe 1300.
My Bro sent me a photo from where he lives (north Wales) and its been snowing there.
I know there have been years when we have had snow/ice/fog etc into April but that doesnt make it any nicer.
Was going to say......chill out, open a beer and watch some good Tele......but that is total cr*p today.

Looked out of the window when we got up - snowing.
Checked again after breakfast - sleeting, virtually horizontally.

Binned any plans for a ride and am working through boxsets on Amazon Prime.

PS - it's still raining. Tomorrow looks possible for a ride though.

Snow here turned to sleet, then to rain. Slush everywhere. I went to Wetherspoons for a veggie brekkie and several coffees, stocked up in Lidl afterwards, and am now back home in the warm.

Just been to the top which is about 15 miles away, the roads are flooded all the way across in many sections and for up to about a 100 yards at times. The fieldf are under water and the dykes over flowing.

Yesterday, they said today would be heavy rain all day.
It wasn't raining when I got up, the sun then came out, it drizzled a bit when I took the dog for a walk then it stopped when I went to the shops. I drove up to Stowford Meadows to look at some caravans and it was grey and cloudy with a little bit of drizzle at times. Since I got back, the drizzle stopped a while ago and the sun came out, it is now grey and cloudy but dry.
How can they get a forecast so wrong; not just today, but on a regular basis?

Walked the dog at 5am, yes I'm working on Easter Monday ...but TBD, I'd sooner have the time off when it's warmer. 5am, everything was just saturted, standing water on grass, on the paths, everywhere.
Sick of it now...,c'mon, let' have some decent weather....pleeease.

Currently marathon training so had a 20 mile run to do today. Left early and did large loops close to home in case I had to bail out. Turned out a very nice day and only started raining in the last 5 minutes.

Aye; 11 November 2012! I just hope this isn't going to be yet another year when we (Ayrshire) just don't get a summer. Another nice sunny day on Isle of Mull. Freezing cold wind mind you and Calmac putting out disruption warnings.
Did not even try to cycle as far too cold for comfort particularly returning back downhill.

We were close to bringing the van over too Pentre this weekend gone, glad that I decorated my office instead.
