Blown rim :-(

I managed to blow my rear rim this morning, it takes 700x37c tyres and I have an 8sp shimano hub. I have a spare set of rims in the flat that also has an 8sp shimano hub however this previously had 700x28c tyres on it; will it take the 27mm tyres?

Should be fine. Compare the widths of the rims - if they're similar you'll be OK

If you have a look at the blown rim that will give you a good gage on how the rim feels and looks so you can now keep am eye out on your new ones!

Yip, I had been checking it regularly at night but I should have checked it in the morning
I was quite glad how it went though, something felt funny cycling up the hill and I'd plenty of time to stop and suss it out.
