I've no knowledge of BMX bikes at all, but I suspect as a challenge, my daughter's given in to my repeated offers to get her a better bike by saying she wants one of these things.
I think she'll get fed up of it when she realises they're not really practical as a commuter, so I don't want to spend much, but I'm keen to encourage her interest. I can get a well used one for free, but there are strings to that.
When I've looked on line, apart from colour, I couldn't see the difference between the child and the adult version, and thee more expensive ones didn't seem to have much extra. Surely it's only stronger hubs anyway?
So, what do I look for and avoid, and how do you size them?
