Always had issues with disc brakes, well with 2 bikes anyway. I realise the 'tech' is superior but with the old brake system I never had issues, I knew when the pads were down, I changed them and I was away, I like to keep things simple.

You should test ride a specialized sirrus when you are there, cracking bikes.

Back on page 1 'I had a test ride on the Boardman yesterday, it was ok apart from I hate drop handlebars!.. so I am going for a hybrid, looking at the Pinnacle Neon 3 or 4, any advice on it?.. I like the carbon forks and the fact it doesn't have disc brakes.'

I'm going with Evans for the cyclescheme, anything 'better' I could go for?
So if you hate drop bars why did you bother testing cx bikes, or bothering us with it;)

The Cannondale is 27 gear, is it necessary?.. just seeing that the pinnacle has only 20.. was thinking 18-20 is better for a commuter bike

No Bristol. I was just questioning whats the pros and cons of 18 or 27 gears, it's quite a difference, an 18 gear is going to have less moving parts which I thought might be a good thing as I only use 7 gears on my current bike.

And another one, just being reading some good stuff about ridgebacks..

...it does say that it's 25.9 KG, I'm no expert but I imagine that's a mistake!

..a little cheaper but still with carbon forks

The last 2 I found thanks to a previous recommendation from Vickster, thanks.

So many bikes, hard to choose, I can only order one in at a time for a test ride.
