I have the 2014 model and love it to bits. I had a Giant TCX1 I really didn't get on with. The CDF is comfortable and less fatiguing and dare I say it just as fast.
Take it to your LBS and let them select and fit the mudguards. They can be a pain to fit especially on a bike with disc brakes. It might cost a few quid more than wiggle, so it depends on how much you value your time
My friend rode the Croix de fer on the weekend when we did the London to Brighton, safe to say, he didn't have the top speed as my roadie, but up hills it just kept on going!
