Advice on new bike - Boardman Pro v Specialized Sirrus Comp
Sorry if this is going over repeated questions, I have searched but can't find a comparison on these two specific bikes.
I've been thinking of getting a new bike and as my work has started the C2W scheme thought this is enough for me to go ahead. I was only going to spend up to £750 but as we allow up to £1000 thought I'd go for broke. The two I have in mind are Boardman Hybrid Pro or the Specialized Comp Disc. I've been told the carbon forks are worth the extra and I've really set my heart on hydraulic discs as I have them on a Cinder Cone and they have been fantastic. The spec on the Boardman looks to be better then the Spec so I'm leaning towards this, any advice or experience on these two?
This is really to replace a Carrera TDF that 'now' I realise is not the best road bike in the world and TBH I don't much like the drops.
On a side note any thoughts on the Specialized Elite Carbon - is it worth the extra £200?
Many thanks for info.

So I've been to have a test ride on these two bikes today, I called both this morning and arranged to pop in and to make sue they had wha I was looking for. Went in this afternoon. First was Halfords, they were great! The guy I spoke to was keen and seamed to know his stuff, after a few questions he adjusted the saddle and off I went round the car park, asking if I could have a few rounds he replied, 'knock yourself out go around as many times as you want', ace! Then on to the LBS, they didn't have the bike as requested and they suggested that I go to a concept store as 'that's what they do', they didn't seam so interested so I have called the concept store and going in tomorrow (Bristol).
I did like the Boardman, nice ride, wide range of gears, good brakes, I didn't like so much the really (road) skinny tyres.
The specalized (sport) felt better, (even though it was the wrong bike & I didn't ride it), I'll look forward to the ride on the right bike tomorrow.
