Not had the sls but my team carbon has been fantastic! I always considered boardman a budget brand but my cadbon frame was excellent compared alongside s works

I would pay the extra for the Air, they seriously stick it to the opposition, coming from someone who has the opposition, that's quite something.

I've recently bought my second SLR 9.8 and I think they are great bikes. Fantastic value for money and so light. At this end is the scale on the elite series you aren't going to go far wrong with any of the models tbh.

Thanks for all the replies.
The bulk of my riding is training for Ironman / Sportives so something comfortable yet nice and light is key. At this price point (frameset only), I haven't found anything close. I've already got Dura Ace / decent components on my Alu Caad9, which I'll move over to the new frameset.
