Slippery when wet

Came very close to an off when the back end went as i caught one of those cat eye things as i was doing a right turn .
Thankfully nothing was about as i slithered toward the kerb at an odd angle trying to stay upright.

On a lighter not do BT vans have to overtake so close in fog?

I had a slippery when wet moment about a week ago, I was coming off the pavement (having just come from a cycle path) and onto a side road so I could turn around and use the junction to get on to the main road. The gutter was filled with leaves that made me lose traction on my rear wheel, somehow though I didn't spill, but it was close.

Wednesday was an odd one though, I don't think it was even that wet, but I managed to skid my front wheel while slowing at a mini-roundabout.. I'd adjusted my brakes the night before and probably wasn't used to the pressure needed but it was still hair raising (what little I have left on top). Luckily I was upright and still heading in a straight line so I skidded in a straight line, or I would probably have gone down in front of the entire school run..
