Where to start.....his assertion that life dealt him a bad hand, his intolerance of anyone who remotely did anything against him, his lack of insight and understanding of other's perspectives. Of course thats what make him a truly great champion and a once in a life time cyclist. But I look for a little more humility from my heroes......now Steve Jones, the Welsh Marathon runner of the mid-1980s, there is a real hero. I'm glad you enjoyed the book tho'. ^_^

Fair point and I agree, but by the end he did seem to have been humbled by his experiences and, although still a bit arrogant and aggressive, I thought he was a good guy.
A good book if you need a bit of inspiration to get on the bike again! ^_^
