David Millar's book is excellent. brilliantly written, very funny and sad in equal measures... Millar is a very talented writer.

Just finished the the Search for Robert Millar (very good), the Coppi book (fascinating, but now i want to read about Bartoli) and Cycling Anthology Vol 1.... Vol 2 has just come out and i'm awaiting delivery.

I enjoyed French Revolutions by Tim Moore and Two Wheels On My Wagon by Paul Howard.

One Man And His Bike by Mike Carter is my current favourite cycling book - I'd like to go and do what he did if I had the nerve.

+1

He is a Guardian freelance journalist so can actually write joined-up English unlike some cyclists who 'cycled the world'. I know I learnt to speak English a long time ago and it was Yorkshire English at that but back then the preposition 'round' was considered essential in that phrase. Rant over.

'Cycled the World' is perfectly acceptable in a book title. No-one talks about "swimming across the Channel" or "climbing up Everest".

Reading Victoria Pendleton's autobiography at the moment. Quite an eye opener, with her battle against self doubt and OCD. Had some real tough times, but got through it and, I must say I "fancy" her lots :rose:!!
