I'd something like that after a minor cut on the head. They whipped me in for a scan as well as prescribing antibiotics. Clearly these are infections that have to be taken very seriously.

Mate of mine had an ingrown hair on his knuckle which got infected. He ended up having his hand sewn to his leg to regrow the skin that needed replacing. Grim.
