Just seen both eps (had to record it).

Never mind the politics, some great bike action! Love the thought of Katrine as our own Jon Snow - but without the helmet or hi-viz.

Really enjoyed the two episodes - and I expect Hill Wimp you were enjoying seeing Philip roaring with laughter - has that EVER happened in either Borgen or the Killing?
Though did you notice the courier in tights and a helmet? It made me feel quite at home;)

Yes - the courier puzzled me for a moment as he was dressed in full cycling gear, unlike all the other cyclists in the whole of Copenhagen!

Maybe he's been watching UK TV.... I was just rewatching it because I was multi-tasking when it was on first and I note that it was a single speed bike but the handlebars looked very odd: halfway between butterfly bars and drops raised from the stem. There's summat going on above the rear axle too that I haven't figured out.

Oh yeah... odd-looking indeed. And what's he doing with that D-lock? Nothing to fix it to!

I just loved that there was a "meet cute" between a high-powered TV exec and a household-name news anchor conducted on Pashley-type bikes in the middle of a cycle lane. Yay!

Jeremy is deeply underwhelming. I think the Danes thought we dedicated UK Borgen fans would love it if they put in a romance with a British actor - they'd have been right if they'd chosen a better, and better-looking one!

You Danish TV drama nuts really ought to get the DVD of this: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2216240/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

A few Killing and Borgen actors in that. Excellent film.

In all non-British TV and film, a posh Englishman will always be the head baddie (Zod's Law?). So, Jeremy turns out to be working for MI6 and gets caught trying to feed Birgitte a Polonium smørrebrød to stop her passing a bill on Pan-European banking reform. FACT!

Went to the theatre yesterday: the first two series of Borgen on stage! Nine hours of binge drama, including Danish-style dinner and nibbles. I have never seen any of the TV series and the production yesterday was admittedly a bit ropey at times, but if it ever crosses the channel, it makes a very pleasant day out. For those who speak Dutch.
