He rides a hybrid. City Hall shares underground car parks and bike parking spaces with the company I work for so I have occasionally seen him coming to and from work.

I have to say he never looks very comfortable. He is hunched over the handlebars and looks like he is putting a lot of effort into moving forward. And I don't think he enjoys wearing the helmet. It is perched on his bouffant and looks to be of limited use. I guess he feels that it is politically expedient to wear it rather than it will do him any good.

"murder to pedal uphill"? - What hills? London is flat.

Putney Hill.
Richmond Hill.
Primrose Hill.
Tower Hill.
Cornhill.
Parliament Hill.

It's not the Alps, but it's certainly not flat.

I like the happy faces on the cyclists behind him...

Who is the to$$er with the helmet on?? "Cycling is in fact a very safe means of transport and is statistically becoming safer all the time." If it is so safe why the helmet... ;)

Good stuff, I thought he just did the cycling thing for the press, didnt realise he actualy enjoyed cycling.

Why is he wearing a helmet? Cos if he falls off he could hurt his head!!!!!

Good on him.

However I do have to say that his flowery, senior prefect room chief wit-in-charge, classically alluding style, where once slightly amusing, is now really irritating.

Agree, I have wondered ever since he came to power as mayor how long it will take for the press to start taking thew micky.

Where once his style was as light, soft and ephemeral as Zeus' Shower of Gold impregnating the tragic Danae; it is now as pungent, heavy and plodding as the Herculean piles of shite in the Augean stables.

CoG, that sounds like pure Stewart Hall to me - great stuff!

As for Boz - good for him!!
