Due to my knees giving me hassle, my cycling is limited. Living where I do, with naff public transport, I need some motor transport of my own, as husband & son have theirs.

So today, MrWC & I went out (at long, long last) and have bought me a Vespa! Hurrah! Next weekend I'm due to pick up a brand new Vespa S125, with matching rear box and front flyscreen. The main paint jobbie is a delicious white, with a rather tasteful red line on the bodywork, white rear box, black seat and matching black back cushion on the rear box, and front flyscreen. It is *lovely* and non of this two-stroke faff either.

What's the betting it's chucking it down when I collect it and ride it home from Norwich?

My wife bought a scooter when we arrived in Italy. She wanted a Vespa, but could not find one that she liked and then she was told that the insurance is higher as they tend to get nicked more. She settled for a Honda 300 and loves it. she much prefers riding the scooter to driving anywhere. It is so easy to park and getting into an out of town is easy peasy.

Good luck with your Vespa - you will love it .

Very cool scoot!!

I used to ride my Vespa scooter from central Scotland to Great Yarmouth regularly in the mid to late eighties - so to ride it home to Norwich will be character building(especially if its raining). :becool:

Indeed.

I am hoping for a dry day A less than howling gale would also be appreciated!

Not as pretty as my little scooter ...Can you fit a top box or something? Definitely invest in a motorcycle lock, so you can at least put it for a wheel when you leave it somewhere.

What shop did you get it from?

Patoot! I'll have you know that Valentino (Monty to his friends) is entirely the most attractive scooter ever!

It's coming with a proper Vespa top box that matches the paintwork, and a Vespa front flyscreen. He's decidedly glorious dharlink!
