I used to have a mid nineties steel Bianchi and I’m pretty sure it was Italian made and BB thread.

I have an Bianchi Avenue from about the same period, a hybrid, and it does not appear to be made in Italy, maybe The States as it has no country of origin sticker. Curved seat-stays. My other Bianchi, (Squadra) is quite obviously Italian, as it has a large country of origin sticker and "Bianchi" on the BB shell.

Great minds think alike. Just done that. Drive side is left hand thread so English.
Or Swiss.
