Are bottom brackets on fixed gears a "standard size" or a few variants???

A few variants, due to differing chain lines. The old one will probably have a some codes on it from which you can identify the replacement. If it's an ots fixed someone probably already knows what you need, either here or on lfgss

Are we talking old skool square taper?

Diameter of BB shell, width of BB shell, length of axle are your key dimensions.
