Usual reaction. Tried it the first time in an LBS and walked away. Defies physics and common sense. Then it all comes together. Enjoy.

I was stunned at how bad our north east roads are on my Trek SL, i ended up buying a cheap suspension seat post, it helped quite a bit.

I felt like I was riding a tightrope on two circular razor blades the first time I went out on my road bike after a couple of years of mtb.

That was two and a bit years ago, and my mtb now has two and a bit years of dust on her... Poor sod.

You'll soon love it, worry not.

Cheers for all your posts people, took it out and i can homestly say i loved the difference stop starting seemed a breeze,

I had a load of confidence surprisingly, cant wait to get out for a long ride.

I found on the bars where you hold flat, that i kept forgetting there was no brakes there.

I never used the drops. But i think the whole leaning further forward is going to hurt my back till i get used to it, but thats like everything else.

I also think my disc brakes were much better on mtb, but i will get used to it,

To summerise, im hooked allready on the road bike, seamed to saunter along effortlessly ! I now wish i had of done it years ago ! But looking well forward to my new adventure in cycling,

Ive always been the same, sometimes ive hated it, but most times i love it, but you never know till you try it
