Boxing day morning , except for one light in the kitchen the house is in darkness, I'm the only one thats stirred, one of my sons is asleep on the sofa the other side of the room, the lounge looks like its been blitzed, the kitchen is in the same state, behind me the remains of last nights buffet is still on the table, we've had a cracking family Xmas, hope yours was as good.

Makes me glad mine are grown up, my eldest is up and about but the rest of the family is still in the land of nod.

Yep, our house is pretty much the same!! I'm going out for a ride and hoping that the place will be spic and span when I get back.
Was planning on a ride but looks like to much to do to sort out the bombsite the house has turned into , wife btw has only just surfaced as shes partially deaf claims she did not hear the kids and of course i believe her

Mine are grown up too. One was up very early and out to work - the other's on hols, but up, dressed and has been playing FarCry3 for half an hour now. Mrs B and myself are chilling with a coffee on the sofa and watching the action, two activities which are not as incompatible as might be assumed!

All spick and span here.
The mobile home next door was playing music so loud we couldn't here ourselves think. Hubby went over to ask him to turn it down and despite thumping on the door, he had to wait for the gap between (loud) tracks to make himself heard. Neighbour turned music down and then back up again by the time hubby got back. Next door is 50' away so we gave up and went to invade a friends house for the rest of the day. No buffet debris here, all tidy and lovely except for 2 empty wine glasses.

The bomb site was cleaned several times over Christmas Day, so getting up this morning was not a problem. The kids got up between 10 and 11am. They are now tiring themselves with just dance 4.

The roads this morning at 8am were great. Almost no one around. Kinda like the royal wedding.

We are going to have a chat with the landlord when we next see him. He lives about 50 yards away so we see him all the time. His side garden backs on to our back garden. We have to go over for electric tokens tonight.

OK. Next time. Arrange alibi with friend. Get well insulated cable cutters and a set of steps. Immediately outside the mobile home's front door, position their wheely/dust bin or similar. Climb onto steps and cut overhead power supply. Do it twice and take the missing section (which should be as long as possible) away. Occupants will emerge from mobile home and collide with dustbin in the dark aiding your getaway. Scrap metal thieves obviously.
