Boxing day?

    Ok,this came up earlier,why is it called boxing day?Other than getting rid of all the presents box's:smile: we couldnt figure it out?Any takers?

    When I was a kid with a paper round, the customers would tip (some quite generously) at Christmas. The tip was always called a 'Christmas box'

    Iv always heard the term what you getting for your christmas box this year,but it was for on christmas day,so i didnt relate it to boxing day.
