He said: "We may have been breaking the law by doing a little bit of speeding, but we are not a bad group of lads. We have got it under control.

Interestingly co-incidental. I was driving yesterday when a car went bombing past me and then pulled in between me and the car in front. The reason? We were about to reach no overtaking lines. Once the lines were gone, the car pulled out and was away again.

The underlying inference is that speeding isn't really breaking the law but overtaking on no-overtake lines is? I think that'd be about right and seems to mirror many people's attitudes (including, I have to admit, my own!).

Critical Mass Stevenage style.
Very few had lights, none had hi viz on and I didn't see
a single cycling helmet. One cyclist's trousers were falling down.
Pathetic really, haven't the police got better things to do?

So, just to clarify - a bunch of people were speeding on Stevenage and they are now protesting about the police action against them by cycling slowly on the same roads?

This has got to be surreal corner, right?
