I'm reading Pro Cycling on $10 A Day by Phil Gaimon - it's a great read and a very entertaining description of his struggle to become a Euro Pro.

I have ended up with Etape - untold stories of the TdF's defining stages. By Richard Moore.

Looks like a good cross section of historical stages across the years by some of cyclings greats.

Mark Beaumonts books are well worth a read. Slightly different type of book, but very inspiring and well written

Nicole Cooke's book is also inspirational. The challenge from a male dominated sport at that time and how her own coaches letting her down did not stop her.

I like Nicole Cooke and I'm 3/4 of the way through her book at the moment. TBH, I'm finding it heavy going and I suspect that although she appears to have been treated very badly by BC there are two sides to the story.

Agree. Lots of angst in her book.

I got the feeling from the book that she felt very badly treated and not supported by B C and several of the main coaches and staff.
