Brake blocks for winter commuting

Hi guys

I've got some Dura Ace brake blocks at the moment but they "dissolve" in the wet and are completely uneffective.

I can't upgrade to discs and a hub/roller brake won't be practicle to upgrade.

Any ideas, I'm thinking of Kool Stop Salmon.

My shimano blocks really aren't that good in the rain.

Kool Stop Salmon are supposed to be good, but the COLOUR!

I've got some Aztec (don't know which type) and theyare pretty good.

I have Kool stop salmons. They work well but the bolts have gone rusty. Not a problem if you already have compatible cartridge holders though.

Get the Kool Stop dual compound as they work in wet and dry and last a hell of a lot longer.

Minor thread hijack: I use Koolstops on one of my bikes, to get the cartridge holders I ended up upgrading my brakes to Ultegra- since it didn't cost that much more than just buying the holders (the original callipers weren't very good anyway)

I've got some pretty good deep-drop brakes on my commuter- anyone know where I can get fairly cheap cartridge holders so I can use Koolstops on that too?
