Brake lever advice.

I need some drop bar brake levers for a bike with cantilever brakes. All the ones I have looked at seem to be for v brakes or calliper. As I understand these will not work well enough with cantilever brakes due to "mechanical advantage" issues.

Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Side pull calipers and cantilevers have the same cable pull, it's V brakes which differ. V brake levers for drop bars are quite rare actually.

Dom thanks for the reply but it's levers for canti's that i need.

So Mickle, you are saying that I should be able to use any standard drop bar brake levers with cantilver brakes?

Just want to get it right, there is a lot of conflicting info out there.

I agrree with the above, tho just posting to say tektro make a set of levers for drop bars and v brakes

tho they aint much use for anything other than v brakes due to cable pull issues mentioned earlier
