im having a problem with one of the brake levers........ There is like a pin that holds the brake cable to the lever but seems to be too small and doesn't sit in the 2 holes on each side of the lever......... Do these come in different sizes and easy to fix??.......... Every time I resit it as soon as I press the lever it pops out again!!

Yeah the other lever sits fine and the studs each side are a good fit, just on this side the pin looks too short and doesn't sit in both ends snug enough to stop it popping out!!

I've tried to locate it and when it does it is barely in the hole and then as soon as I apply the brake it just pops out....... It's as if the pin isn't long enough or the lever is too wide at the pin!!

You don't mean the nipple on the end of the cable is coming out of the hole in the lever it threads through do you? If it's that, it sounds like you have a gear cable, not a brake cable.

No the cable is fine mate but it is fed through a metal pin thing that slots into each side of the actual lever but doesn't seem to fit!!

Thought it might need a new lever and was my plan tomorrow to pop it down halfords!!

Sounds to me like the 'thingy' that holds the nipple is the wrong way round, there should be a recess that holds the nipple snugly. The 'thingy' that the cable end sits in rotates so turn it 180%.
