Brampton Valley Way, Kelmarsh tunnel closed. Icicles..

Anyone hoping to ride the Brampton Valley Way NC1 this weekend, the Kelmarsh tunnel is closed, and the Oxendon tunnel may be closed tomorrow, too..
The reason?
Dangerous icicles!!

Very pretty, though

Edit: The diversion is not suitable for bikes, it says.. But maybe the hardened MTB'ers could plug through the mud, though..

It would be pretty freakishly unlucky for one of those to break off just as you were passing underneath, but it would be pretty nasty if it did...

Same on the Monsal Trail Tunnels closed due to large icicles 🥶

Same thing on Blea Moor on Settle-Carlisle. They sent a special icicle breaker train through.

They'd be hard pushed to get a train through the BVW tunnels! Not been one that far up the line since Beeching!
