Is there free parking at Perrys?? and what time are you planning on getting back? Might be interested but I have to be back in sunny wesy land for 4.30.
There's loads of parking. Not sure on the times as none of us have done a century before, and a couple of lads haven't done more than about 35 miles!
That said we're setting off at 8 and I'd hope it wasn't going to take more than about 7 hours.
It's an easy route, pretty flat, and the worst bit will probably be the inevitable headwind through St Annes.

Providing it isn't chucking it down when I get up I think I will join you if that is ok? If it is looking like a late finish i will just scoot off.

Cheers Jon, good to meet the four of you. Sorry I had to scoot off but it isn't often Son invites us out for Tea  Managed to get back to start for 3:20 which I was pleased with considering the weather

How did you all get on with your 100?? can't say I would fancy doing it on flats like your mate :O. Anyway thanks for the ride, but less main roads next time!!

Great to meet you too. We got back just after 5 after taking a few rest stops and 'daddying' Jay along with his flats

We lost him at 80 miles as he had nothing left, but considering the pedals and his 7 miles of training it was a sterling effort.

I was pleased as punch to finish my first century ride and whilst knackered actually felt OK at the end of it, if that makes sense!

You've got me thinking about Fossy's group ride now at the Manchester 100, I'm doing the ride for sure, but I might just tag on the CC bunch to see how I fair

Sorry about the main roads, but I had to keep it flat for obvious reasons, and I took the easy option of using the Manc to Blackpool route for the most part

I think Jay did brilliantly considering his lack of bike usage! I got back to the start at 5.45...just a little bit behind you! We did stop a lot though! 7 hours on the bike!
