What do you eat or drink in the mornings before setting off? I never usually have breky as it makes me feel sick, so I usually wait till mid morning at work. Also am a lazy sod and don't get up long before I set off.

I would like to start having something as it'll probably help. What do you guys have, especially the peeps that don't eat breky normally?

Don't have time to eat before my 13 mile commute and I'm ok until I get to work. I sometimes have a glass of orange juice but normally a couple of strong coffees is enough.
In the winter I will carry a banana or other energy food in case of a mechanical or other delay that might mean be being stationary in the cold.

Some days I wake up and could eat anything, I usually have porridge of some sort but sometimes it's tasty leftovers from the previous day.

Other days the thought of eating solid food makes me feel queasy until I've been awake for a few hours. On those days I have a glass of orange juice (if there's any in the fridge) and a coffee and I grab an extra banana or flapjack in case I get peckish earlier than expected. I find I definitely run better on the proper breakfasts though.

I whip up a bowl of porridge and throw in some fruit, either blueberries or strawberries. I will then munch a bannana and gulp down a protein drink at work after my shower.

Breakfast of champions.

Porridge with dried fruit and chopped nuts, if I don't eat in the morning I'll feel rough until I get something to eat, flat with very little energy.

During a normal working week...

Breakfast: Nothing
Lunch: Usually nothing
Dinner: Regular sort of meal

Of course I am having fluids during the day.

The primary reason I don't have breakfast/lunch during the week is that I can't be arse'd to sort it out.

Get up, get washed, get out.

Just coffee before I leave. When I'm at work I usually have fruit and yoghurt. Makes me feel like I'm being healthy (and forget about the pizza the night before!).

Make sure you eat something, as it stops you snacking in the morning. It's the most important meal of the day. If you can't eat before the ride to work, do it after.

It doesn't stop me :hungry:

Luckily we have free fruit at work and very luckily no vending machine-so snacking = healthy

Oatiflakes with a cup of tea in the warmer months, porridge with a cup of tea in the colder... for an 18 mile morning commute.

Weetabix with hot milk and a spoon full of sugar, accompanied by a black coffee or sugary tea (i have a bit of a sweet tooth). This all before my 12 miles commute.
When I get to work I usually have a pint of water and then a banana or orange to keep me going until lunch.

I wait 'til I've reached work too...

Coco pops (or the pikey own-brand equivilent, anyway) for me and a mug of tea. If the legs are feeling it, then I mix PowerBar whey powder in with the milk before pouring it over the cereal, for extra-chocolatey goodness!
