Bridgewater Canal Commute: Sale to Preston Brook / Daresbury

Hi,
Has anyone commuted between Sale and Preston Brook / Warrington area using the tow path along the Bridgewater Canal. I am trying to commute between Sale and Daresbury Scienec and Innovation campus which is actually on the Bridgewater Canal.

Nope I haven't used it and not sure I would want to on a regular basis (too slow), but there's perfectly good back roads & part of the Trans Pennine Trail to use to get there.

ive rode this route in the past, very pleasant but appart from the stretch near altrincham that is part paved the rest will be very muddy especially with the recent rainfalls. Just something to consider.

Personally I'd cycle out on the roads via Dunham and Lymm
