I might be able to change from my winter tights to my summer ones soon then

My first day back on the bike yesterday for just over a week, loved it, even riding home at 6am
was a bit nippy though, short fingered gloves might have been a mistake.

It didn't dip much below 20 degrees overnight in London. the cycle home at 2am after work was lovely and warm in shorts and short sleeve top

I went to work this morning at 4am (3am UK time) and it was about 25 degrees on the display outside the chemist's shop I pass.

It was bloody crunchy with all the snails on the move, though!

I hope it doesn't get as bad as it did a few years ago when it was 27 degrees overnight. Homemade aircon came into play then. thin muslin cloth bags full of ice suspended infront of a fan . with a string on the bottom for the melt to run down so no drips. dreamed up after going to a party with "special cakes" .

Coming home around sunset tonight, conditions were just about perfect for me - temp up in the 20s, the wind down from oppressive levels to that rare level of agreeable ventilation where the faster you ride the more refreshingly cool the breeze. The fact that it was downhill and it was also the last day of the job may have affected things slightly...but it was still nigh perfect for me

I have been in shorts, since end of February maybe. Out tonight with friends, I will be wearing a skirt, brown legs, and my white cycling ankles with pride

Having been slaving in front of a hot PC all day while it gets to "Phew! What a Scorcher!" temps outside, I check the weather forecast for tomorrow and next week (when I might be able to actually get out on the bike), and it's flipping well 11-12 degrees all the way... grrr.... where's summer? I want to put my layers away....
