Just noticed a split rim. Noticed rear braking was a bit lumpy, cleaned bike, 2cm crack in rim. Time for new ones. Good job CRC has £12 off this weekend. Takes the CXP33's to £80 a pair. Ouch.

Reminds me of a colleague who'on doing the Coast to Coast was able to tongue in cheek boast that he was rimmed just outside Cockermouth!
A small shard of glass picked up and embedded in hs brake block causing the split!

Ooops.I did wonder,no chance of leg braking then?

I do,brake blocks are quite expensive these days.

Clarkes blocks are great. Not to expensive, cheaper than knees
