Not me.
Was cruising down the road (early morning, light traffic, must get another 20mile/h average over 6 miles Pershore Road, Birmingham). I passed a guy on a rather nice Willier bike. Kept my head down and the legs pumping.
About a mile later we come to some traffic lights. The phase is with me, so being careful of left turners, I filter up the cycle lane, look for the gap, hit it and fly across the junction. Only to hear a big bang behind me.
I look back, and see a bike laying in the road. So I turned back. The rider was standing up, with blood on his face but not running and a mighty bump on his forehead. Turns out his front brake caliper had come off for some reason, got caught in the wheel between the spokes and the front fork, snapped a couple of spokes and broke the front fork almost completely off. And left him kissing tarmac.
He was a little dazed, bloodied, but generally lucid. Bike unrideable. Left him with a couple of kind ladies and him talking on his phone to his boss.
If you are on here, hope you are OK.
Did you get your 20mph average?
